John send me some information about this great partnership and the Orbitz trip Planning !

TripHub's market leading trip planning services are being promoted across the Orbitz.com site and can be viewed at http://orbitz.triphub.com.
The service will also be featured on various Orbitz microsites, including its family travel ,unmanaged business travel , and auto racing sites.

This deal is TripHub's third and most significant private label relationship and is consistent with our strategy of partnering with a select group of market leaders. Orbitz is the only major online travel agency to exclusively feature and promote TripHub's planning and community tools.

Q: What's this deal about?
TripHub's service on Orbitz will help millions of customers more easily plan, coordinate, and share trips such as bachelor parties, spa vacations, reunions, weddings, trips with clubs and teams or any event that involves coordinated travel. By combining TripHub's best-in-class collaboration and communication tools with Orbitz's premier booking capabilities and inventory, we've created an industry leading, end to end solution that makes it easier and more fun to plan group trips and events and buy travel online.

Q: How big is the leisure group travel market?
Groups are one of the last major online travel revenue streams to move online. According to a recently published study by travel market research firm PhoCusWright, the U.S. groups and meetings marketplace is projected to reach $175 billion by 2008. By 2008, 41% of all groups and meetings travel revenue, or $39 billion, will be booked online. The online opportunity will be even greater for small leisure gatherings (under 9 rooms), a segment which has fallen outside of the traditional "group" definition. This segment, which includes family reunions, weddings and religious groups, will have online penetration of 53% by 2008, nearly three times the rate of larger leisure groups. (Source: PhoCusWright Inc. Groups and Meetings: Market Opportunity Re-defined. Jan 2007). And according Forrester Research, 46% of online US leisure travelers took at least one "group" trip in the past 12 months; the average number of leisure group trips was 1.7." (Source: Forrester Research Inc.'s North American Consumer technology Adoption 2007 Online Travel Study)

Q: Does a customer have to buy from Orbitz to use this service?
The service is free to use. Customers will see offers from Orbitz and can easily shop and purchase on Orbitz.com from these planning tools.

Q: Who are TripHub's other strategic partners?
Alaska Airlines (http://alaska.triphub.com/) and People to People Student Ambassador Programs (a leader in student travel - not available for public use.)

The TriHub team make a incredible job and are very smart in the travel groups market, can't wait to see their services in the european market.
