Being a newcomer to the Spa industry I realize the importance of being highly professional in this business. I see two issues the hardware and the software both equally important. You can easily buy all the hardware but the world of software products is wider than I thought. I think the most important part is to find highly qualified staff not only properly trained but with deep insight in the knowledge of the body’s anatomy. It all started as plain massage but has developed into a very large product range where the keyword is therapy. I can also understand that the hotel industry has added Spa & Wellness products as a natural part of the services offered when you stay in the hotel. But I think that a hotel itself can only offer the very basic products so when it comes to products that actually are to be considered as alternative health care the hotel needs top professional staff and that is not easy. It seems that the best way is to leave these services to outside companies being experts in the field. Why do I think that? The answer is easy. It is a question of responsibility and you can only accept that by having proven expertise in this field, where key issues like healthy lifestyle, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing are all closely connected and need to be 100 % understood.
