Airbus A380, growing with the emerging markets (from Airbus Global Market Forecast)

With the first Airbus A380 to be delivered to Singapore Airlines on Monday, 15th October, I think it will be very interesting to read some market analyse from Airbus.

The Airbus Global Market Forecast gives a broad analysis of world traffic development as well as a year-by-year fleet evolution of the world's largest aircraft operators over the next 20 years.

According to Airbus:

The Asia-Pacific region is expected to grow to a third of the worldwide market by 2025; transpacific, Europe-to-Asia and transatlantic long haul routes will increase by 60 per cent.

Asia has the making of new economic paradigm with positive long term structural forces :
>Rising middle class
>Emerging household credit culture
>Demographic sweet spot
>A more "laissez faire" lifestyle
>Rapid urbanisation
>China in the same backyard

Well, Singapour Airlines is leading the trend !

I suggest reading this 2 papers:

demand-for-air-travel

demand-for-passenger-aircraft

I give some extract from their studies on emerging market and one about a futur big big "jumbo" !!!

The Airbus VLA, Airbus Very Large Aircraft could be a big big "jumbo" with more than 1.200 passengers.
